August Summer Sunday Seminar Series Sacraments in Review: Communion and Baptism This two-part course examines the theology and history of their development Sundays, Aug. 7, 14, at 9 a.m. led by the Rev. John Danner. From its earliest years, the church has certain rituals designed to remind participants of Gods presence in their lives. Traditionally, the church has ascribed the institution of these rituals, called sacraments, to Jesus Christ. Today, Christians acknowledge different numbers of rituals as being sacraments. Roman Catholics and others celebrate seven sacraments, while most Protestants celebrate only two, Baptism and the Eucharist, or Holy Communion. Over the course of history these two sacraments have been understood in a variety of ways, and practiced in different formats. On August 15th, KTSJ will conduct a random drawing from all eligible entries between the start of the contest and midnight August 14, 2011. One winning entry will be selected and notified by email and or telephone that they have won.
